Warm floor!

I promised photos of our friend's wedding reception that I took with my new Canon 40D. Here they are. I'm learning to use Adobe Lightroom, which is an amazing photo editing tool. It also allows you to export these awesome flash galleries. I am also trying my hand at developing my own web site. I'm having lots of fun with it.

If you remember back to the beginning of the spring, while Jason was working on the plumbing for the downstairs basement, I layed down heat wire and new tile in the upstairs bathroom. It is finally complete!

We didn't install the thermostat during the summer since we didn't need it. But now the weather is getting cold and snow is falling, Jason hooked it up, which involved ripping out parts of the wall (of course).

The wall ripped out where the cords had to go up the wall and a hole cut out where the thermostat goes.

All installed and plastered and painted. Jason even put new floor trim on, which we haven't had since we painted the room over a year and a half ago. It looks nice!

As you can see, our bathroom floor is a toasty 87 degrees. Happy feet out of the shower!

We also FINALLY took the time to go through the big plastic 3-drawer bin that was holding all sorts of miscellaneous bathroom junk. It's all consolidated and all fits into the cupboard under the sink, the medicine cabinet and the new cabinet over the toilet. I love having it feel less crowded in there!

My dad said we didn't have a photo of the window downstairs. Once it's finished, we officially have a 4th bedroom!

Jason was lucky enough to get to go to the tiebreaker game between the Twins and the Tigers for the ALCS championship at the Dome last Tuesday. I sat at home and scared the bejeezus out of the poor cat. It was a nailbiting, 12-inning game. I've never seen such an exciting game. I really wish I could have been in the dome to see it.

Jason got a shot of these signs. They are great!

View of the Dome from way up.

Just after Alexi Casilla hit in the winning run. Jason called me from the dome. It sounded so loud! I wish I could have heard it myself.

Celebration

Tomorrow we will be going to the 3rd game of the playoffs between the Yankees and the Twins. The Twins lost 2 at Yankee Stadium. Hopefully the Twins can pull off 2 wins at the Dome tomorrow and Monday and then break their curse at Yankee Stadium. It's a long shot, but getting into the playoffs was a long shot and they did it. It think they'll do it! Personally, I'm hoping for a Twins v. Rockies World Series. I can dream, can't I?
