Things are coming together!

It's funny that things can tend to work out just right sometimes.

We set July 1 as my moving date to move to St. Paul to either start work or continue looking for work. I was afraid I'd have to move there and not have a job, but I had an interview yesterday at Edina Realty in Edina and they called today to offer me the job! I start on July 2! How perfect?

It's only a 4 month internship as a systems integration specialist, which basically means I will be helping to make new computer programs easy for agents to understand. I'm so excited to start a job that will use my skills, but in a totally different capacity than journalism.

I hope the internship will lead me to another, more permanent job, or will at least give me an idea of what direction I want to go if I go back to school or something.

Jason got some good news yesterday. His boss called the shop and suddenly told everyone they could have next week off-- with pay! So Jason will head to Bemidji to work for his construction boss to make extra money. We will spend the 4th in Brainerd probably, so if you'll be around let us know! We can go to the fireworks! I want to sit on the hill! I don't care how bad the traffic is afterward or how bad the mosquitos get. I have not been at home for the 4th in years! It's been toooo long!

This weekend I had a wonderful shower in Belle Plaine with Jason's family and friends. It was so much fun! We had an excellent lunch of ham sandwiches and fruit and veggies and angel food cake. We played a wedding word search and gift bingo!

Jason and I thank everyone who came, or who were there in spirit! We'll get thank you's out, I promise, but the next few weeks will be very hectic, so I apologize in advance if it takes a little while.
