I've picked out cake!
Very early in the planning stages, Jason told me he's not very fond of cake, as in the birthday/wedding kind of cake. But he does like angel food -- who doesn't like angel food-- so we decided it would be very original and tasty to have it at our wedding.
We're having naked angel food cake with bowls of frosting, whipped cream, chocolate, strawberries, blueberries and whatever else so people can dress up their own cake.
We will have a small "wedding cake" thing with all the frosting and decorations and stuff but it will be angel food and it will be smallish, probably for the wedding party. The rest will be the naked cake loafs for everyone to eat, dressed however they want!
So now I've made you hungry, I'm going to have more of our sample cake!
I also had a makeover at Herberger's today. The girl did a fabulous job making me so pretty. I will have someone take a photo before it gets washed away.

I think that the "naked" cake idea is absolutely brilliant!!!!! I thought once that it would be fun to have an ice cream sundae bar at a wedding...with all the fixings...candy, hot fudge, whip cream, you name it, it would be there
