First Post.

Hi everyone, this is Kelli.

I set up this blog to keep family and friends updated on what Jason and I are up to, whether it's wedding related or not, but it's probably a safe assumption that pretty much everything will be wedding related for the next 8 months.

I'm going to scan in our engagement pictures tomorrow, so I'll post some cuteness.

So far, things have been going pretty well, but I can already feel the pressure since it's all happening sooo fast.

The ceremony will be Aug. 18 at 4 p.m. at Park United Methodist Church. It will most likely be one of the shortest wedding ceremonies you'll ever witness. They are short, sweet and to the point. Our new Pastor Jeff will officiate.

Our reception will be at the Northland Arboretum and it is really nice. I will get some decent photos of the building soon.

Oh, we also blocked rooms at the Americinn, which is close to the arboretum and the Ramada which is close to Grandpa Yibby. You should be able to call either of those hotels and ask for Knudsen-Schmitz and be able to book a room.

That's about all we know so far. Mom and I checked out caterers today and that was fun. We've got some ideas, but nothing's in stone yet.

Speaking of stones, my ring sizing is complete and is ready for pick up tomorrow morning! YAY!

In non-wedding news, I quit the Stevens Point Journal and moved back to Brainerd. I don't have a job yet, but it's looking like I'll go back to the jewelry store and do some bartending at a place downtown called T.J.'s Log Cabin.

Jason just started a new career in modelmaking at Modeled Horizons in Fridley, Mn. He lives in St. Paul with his sister Bridget.

I'll let him tell y'all about that some other time.

Hi Kel,

Aunty Karen here. We are soooo excited. We have our reservations and if all goes well, Kate and the twins will be coming too. That will mean that, so far, every wedding had a 6 mo old baby at it. Josie at Ann's wedding, Jake at Kate's wedding and Noah at Bri's wedding. I think this is a wonderful omen.
Bridget's husband Jason has a grandma living in Duluth so they would like to work a vacation to come to the wedding and see her too. BIG PARTY COMING.

Hey all, JimK here... this is all new territory for Sue and I but so much fun too. Having both girls home for the next 8 months will be like the 'old days'. They still hit the fridge pretty hard too.
We hope the family can have a few days after the wedding to 'chill' out after all the festivities are over with. Up to the wedding date, it will be hectic and perhaps not alot of time to play.
After the wedding, the water in Sylvan Lk will still be warm and the screen porch here and at dad's will be available for some nice visiting.
Till later. :)
Jim
